Our Team

Sunil Goyal

Founder & Group Managing Partner

Sunil founded the Ladderup Group in 1992, as a niche financial services outfit into advisory & NBFC businesses. He is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has served as the Chairman of Western India Regional Council of ICAI.

Sunil brings with him broad-based experience of more than 26 years in Investment Banking, Audit and Tax, Corporate Advisory, Debt Raise, as also, is an active Private Equity investor, with equity participation in more than 12 mid-market companies. Apart from investing, Sunil actively participates in management of select portfolio companies, and has meaningfully aided value unlocking through pre-emptive capital structuring and financial management, both for promoters and financers. Sunil has participated in debt placement of more than 300 companies, managed multiple PE / Equity raise mandates, is partner of Kreston-SGCO group, one of India’s Top 15 audit & tax firms, as also serves as an director in more than 15 companies. He has an extensive network of relationships spanning across corporate houses, banks & NBFCs, PE funds and regulatory agencies. From the advisory as well as the implementation standpoint, his technical expertise in deal negotiation, structuring and execution has facilitated high quality execution. Besides being highly passionate about the world of finance, Sunil is a gourmet by choice and doesn't miss an opportunity to savor delicacies.

Saurabh Sarayan

Managing Director

Saurabh is a career-banker, has 15 year experience in banking, primarily Structured and Project Finance, Investment Banking and Risk Management, as also, a stint in Financial Services domain consulting. Prior to joining Ladderup, Saurabh worked for more than a decade at YES Bank, where he got promoted to President and RBL – West, Commercial Banking.

Prior to YES Bank, he served in various capacities at ING Vysya Bank, as also, had a stint with Accenture in domain consulting, involving leading a consulting project with a Fortune 500 US based client.

He has played a significant role in building up YES Bank’s mid-market franchise in Western India, and worked intimately with more than 800 mid-sized corporates across industry segments. His specialties include raising growth capital for early stage companies, structured and special situation finance for matured companies, and debt resolution cases. He brings along with him deep financial understanding and capital structure management, with his professional and academic credentials.

Saurabh has completed CFA (US), MBA (Finance) from University of Mumbai and CAIIB.

A keen jogger and traveler, he never misses an opportunity to hit the jogging course or the road.

Mangala Prabhu

Director, Debt Advisory

Mrs. Prabhu is a retired senior banker, who headed Large Corporate Finance at Union Bank of India, HO Mumbai in the capacity of a General Manager before joining Ladderup group as Director. In over 38 years of service with Union Bank of India, Mrs. Prabhu served in various capacities, primarily in Corporate Credit, as also in Foreign Exchange, HR and Branch Banking.

She was instrumental in formation of business restructuring process of verticalisation of entire credit portfolio of the bank along with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Led the large corporate credit portfolio as General Manager in Union Bank of India in Mumbai for 3 years.

She has extensive experience in entire value chain of large value credit proposals, and brings along depth of relationships in banks, financial institutions and large corporates. She is on the board of multiple companies such as Aspira Path lab & Diagnostics Limited, Bharat Oman Refineries Limited, Anand Housing Finance Private Limited, Staragri Finance Limited, National Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Limited, Star Agriwarehousing And Collateral Management Limited, Upwards Capital Private Limited.

Whenever she finds time, Mrs. Prabhu enjoys reading a good book or travelling.
